The Dance of Hope program was co-created by Segawa Bosco of M-LISADA and Kinobe Herbert of Heartbeat. It was designed to provide vulnerable children the opportunity to travel around the world, and gives them a voice to proudly share their cultures, communities, and triumphant human turnaround stories with an international audience.

Dance of Hope programs include workshops and dance performances at schools and art festivals. These gatherings allow children from different backgrounds to meet and share aspects of their respective lives. The meetings offer a different perspective and image from the stereotypical one about Uganda and Africa. In 2018, Dance of Hope’s first year of touring the USA, it performed at 45 schools in 15 states. This vibrant music and dance spectacular is highly inspiring, and showcases our troupe’s creativity, talent and resilience, and reflects the persistence and triumph of our children.
