M-LISADA Today
M-LISADA (Music, Life Skills, & Destitution Alleviation) Organization is a government approved NGO and registered home for vulnerable children. M-LISADA defines vulnerable children as children who are orphans, live in extreme poverty, are refugees, live on the streets, and/or have been abandoned or abused.
M-LISADA is a home, reception center, resource center, and family to approximately 170 children and young adults. We have two children’s homes—our Kampala home and our home on Kalangala Island. M-LISADA engages with over 1,300 children annually, at M-LISADA in Kampala and Kalangala, at M-LISADA’s Passion Primary School, and through community outreach programs at places like Kampiringisa Juvenile Detention and Rehabilitation Center.
M-LISADA employs 5 core programs: Child Protection & Reunification, Psycho-Social Support & Life Skills, Education & Sponsorship, Music to the Rescue, and Community Empowerment & Health, to protect, heal, empower, and support the lives of vulnerable children and youth. For more information, see CORE PROGRAMS, EDUCATION, SPONSORSHIP, and MUSIC.
In this consequential year we have reached our 25th anniversary. We look forward to celebrating this marvelous achievement in the near future. We hope you will join us on this momentous occasion someday soon.
